I joined Wave Sports + Entertainment (WSE) as they began looking for unique ways to engage with the fans of some of their biggest social media brands. One of those channels was Gym Heroes - a fitness channel with over 5 million subscribers and nearly a billion monthly content views on Snapchat. To build on this massive following, we partnered with Snap and set out to build a social fitness experience on the Snap Minis platform that would educate and encourage users to work out with their friends.
Within 3 months of release, we saw over 1.2 million users, 75 thousand shares, and great average engagement times of 1:30+. By continuing to revise the experience based on user data, we were able to improve engagement times by 22% and increase shares per user by 291% after launching globally.
